Making the decision to enter treatment is hard enough; choosing to make a call to a stranger only compounds the difficulty. That’s why we employ trained staff to answer our phone calls, instead of outsourcing this service. The staff answering the phones are Pyramid Healthcare employees. We have a specialized team that knows the Silvermist program well and works daily with our clinical staff and administrative team. They can provide you with an accurate program description and answer any questions you may have.
During your screening, our admissions staff will ask what type of treatment you are looking for, what mental health and/or substance use issues you’re struggling with, how often you use and how much. We also ask about your physical health because we want to make sure you are well taken care of and determine whether you need additional services that we don’t offer. We are interested in you as a whole person, not as an addict. We want to provide the best holistic, evidence-based treatment we can offer so that you can experience the life you are seeking, for the long-term.
Insurance is frustrating. I am an educated, semi-intelligent person and still cannot understand my insurance policy. Out of network, in network, HMO, PPO, out-of-pocket max, what does this all mean? Insurance is typically the part of the process where most people get discouraged.
The Silvermist admissions staff will verify your insurance, which means we will contact your insurance company and find out what is covered under your policy. Then we will explain each element of your policy and walk you through the financial details. If you forget something we said, you can call us back and we will review the information with you again. We understand. Making the decision to go to treatment is hard enough. Having to deal with an insurance company is the last thing you want to do. That is why we do it for you.
What if you need detoxification services? Drug and alcohol use can negatively impact our bodies in a variety of ways. Subsequently, discontinuing use can have acute, negative effects, and we often need specialized treatment at the beginning of our journey. We do not provide detoxification services at Silvermist. We work with a selection of high-quality detoxification centers around the country, and we either help you find a detox program where you live or direct you to one of our trusted partners.
How do you get to Silvermist? Well, if you are lucky enough to live in northwestern Pennsylvania, you might be able to drive. Located in Renfrew, we are 45 minutes northeast of Pittsburgh. We will help you with the transportation process by assisting with finding flights from your nearest airport into Pittsburgh International. We can also discuss picking you up at or near your home and safely transporting you to our treatment center. We will also pick you up at the airport so that you can quickly and safely access treatment. Our trained drivers are committed to quality customer service and receive specialized training so that we can support you while traveling to Silvermist.
The staff at Silvermist are dedicated to providing high-quality, holistic, evidence-based treatment, and we want to help you get here. The process starts with a decision; then a phone call, a plan and a trip bring you to our front door. A treatment center can boast that they provide the best drug and alcohol treatment in the nation, but if they do not provide quality customer service and make access to treatment simple, the person struggling with addiction may get discouraged and confused and decide to delay or not go through with the process. We believe that customer service is important through the entire treatment process, from call to admission and treatment to discharge, and then to aftercare. When you call Silvermist, the right person will answer, and you will have a well-trained team to support you.
