Ryan graduated from Robert Morris University with a Masters of Science in Counseling degree. He has 7 years of experience working in the addiction and mental health fields. Ryan has worked with adults, children, and adolescents in a variety of treatment settings including residential, inpatient, school, in the home, and wilderness. He has experience working with dually-diagnosed clients dealing with a myriad of mental health diagnoses. Ryan has received training in crisis-intervention, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy. He also has a background in trauma and PTSD, which he brings to his work at Silvermist. Ryan follows a person-centered approach to his therapy with a holistic focus. His objective is to help clients identify and begin progress towards recovery and life goals that facilitate mental, physical, and spiritual fulfillment. Ryan believes in building a strong therapeutic alliance to help his clients develop greater self-efficacy, self-worth, and realization of their full potential.
