Silvermist Recovery Center campus
Silvermist is proud to announce that it has achieved accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, effective October 31. CARF accreditation indicates a treatment center’s commitment to continually improving services, encouraging feedback and serving the community.CARF accreditation is an internationally recognized benchmark indicator of quality services in the behavioral health industry.

“This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of conformance to standards,” wrote CARF President and CEO Brian Boon.

This three-year, renewable accreditation is the result of Silvermist’s internal examination of its programs and business practices and an on-site inspection by expert practitioners to ensure adherence to CARF standards. Following approval of CARF accreditation, Silvermist must report ongoing improvements to programs and services as evidence of continued innovation in the behavioral health industry.

According to the organization’s website, CARF is “an independent, nonprofit organization focused on advancing the quality of services you use to meet your needs for the best possible outcomes.” CARF accredits over 50,000 programs and services at 23,000 locations around the world, and CARF-accredited organizations serve more than 8 million people annually.
